Reimagining the album design for Joey Valence and Braedan Lugue’s Punk Tactics, a hip-hop duo celebrated for blending old-school rap and modern pop culture references, offered the perfect opportunity to visually reflect their energetic and raw sound. Known for their playful nods to video games, memes, and real-life experiences, their music expresses a passion for culture. To capture this essence, I centered the design around a bold, illustrated feature that mirrors the dynamic energy of their tracks, while embedding subtle easter eggs that connect directly to the music. Graffiti-inspired elements emphasize their hip-hop roots, and textured details throughout the design echo the album's upbeat yet unrefined spirit. The result is a fresh redesign that stays true to the duo's identity, offering a creative and engaging take on the original album.
